This is a great place to start, with Alley Cat Allies. I just stumbled upon this site after I had cleaned up my non-followers and then went back my twitter to follow more. I searched 'Cats' and there it was.
When particular user-names come up that catch my eye, I always check out their website and try to share, tweet, and/or google plus items of quality because I hope they may do the same for me. But more importantly, I share what I stand by of quality, something that can help make a difference in the world.
The Alley Cat Allies website is very clean and professionally put together. It is easy to navigate and easy to find ways to get involved to help cats and communities. With their spread the word page, there are several options to help in more simple ways if you don't have the means to donate or become more involved.
I have always loved cats. There will always be a need, but maybe if more can help spread the word, there will be less suffering.
